Hypophosphorous Acid

Molecular weight: 66.0

Character: Pure H₃PO₂ is colorless crystal. Density is 1.493(19°C) and melting point is 26.5°C. It can be mixed with water in any proportion. It is a formidable reducer easily to be oxidized. If heated to 130-140°C, acid without water will be resolved into PH₃ and H₃PO_4.

Appearance: Colorless to slightly yellow liquid.

Application

1、         Used as alkyd, antioxidant and depigment agent.

2、         Reducer.

3、         To make into hypophosphite, such as sodium hypophosphite, calcium hypophosphite, manganese hypophosphite and ferrum hypophosphite, etc.

Storage: Keep hermetic.

Packing: In polyethylene drum.
